20 Years of Design for All: My Top Picks from Target’s New Collection

Hey y’all, welcome back! Today I’m going to be sharing my top picks from Target’s upcoming collection: a rerelease of some of their most popular collaboration collections. I’m super excited about this because I think Target collaborations are great: they make designers more accessible. Y’all know I love a bargain, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that I love Target collabs!

Erin Fetherston

Y’all know that I’m into kitschy, bold accessories like statement earrings. I think these bags are adorable. The red would add a perfect pop of color to a neutral outfit, while the tan would be a subtle statement due to the subdued color.

Stephen Burrows

While I didn’t like most of the Stephen Burrows collection, I really enjoyed this dress. I think it’s simple, flattering, and has nice colors. I’m not sure where you’d wear this, but it sure is cute.

3.1 Phillip Lim

Overall, I really liked this collection. Despite the fact that it was released in 2013, a lot of the pieces are trendy now. Camo and leopard have been really popular lately, and this collection is full of it. I’ll definitely try to get the camo sweatshirt because I think it’s too cute to pass up.

Lilly Pulitzer

Of course, I am most excited for the Lilly Pulitzer collection. I didn’t get anything from the collaboration last time around, but I will definitely be fighting for some of these pieces. As a huge coffee drinker, it’ll be especially hard to pass up the mugs.

Isaac Mizrahi

These pieces may be some of my favorites from the entire collection. The silhouettes are timeless and I get huge Gal Meets Glam vibes from the pieces. The coats are especially cute and classic, I’ll definitely try to pick up at least one.

I was pretty disappointed to see that there would be no boots in the rerelease, but I do like the pieces they chose. These backpacks are pretty cute, and I love backpacks for toting my things around the city. I especially like the cooler bag because it reminds me of Yeti and seems very practical for beachgoers, picnickers, or fisher(wo)men.

I don’t know much about Rodarte, but I do know that this top is going to sell out quickly. I swear, every blogger has a black lacy tank. If you’re looking for one of these blogger staples, this is a great option.

Stephen Sprouse

One concern about the rereleases that I read a lot online was that some of the items would be dated. I don’t disagree, but fortunately, 90’s and early 2000’s style is back in style. I won’t be picking up anything from this collection, but I think the silhouettes are spot on and really trendy.

If you’ve ever heard me talk about high fashion, you know that I really don’t like Missoni: I don’t get it! That being said, I love this collaboration. The classic Missoni print translates extremely well to homewares and the winter accessories are adorable. My favorite piece is definitely the silk scarf, the colors are so cute!

Like Rodarte, I don’t know anything about Altuzarra, but I think there are some great pieces here. Those red velvet pants are adorable and would be perfect for a holiday party. The snakeskin top is super trendy and would be great for the office.

Harajuku Mini

This collaboration gave me flashbacks to elementary school. I swear, everyone got Harajuku Lovers perfumes for their birthday in fifth grade and the shirts were everywhere. I wish they made this collection for adults because I’d wear that sherpa jacket in a heartbeat.

I hope y’all enjoyed my top picks from Target’s new collection! I will definitely be waking up early to head to Target and shop. I definitely didn’t like every collection, but are certainly some standout pieces that you can’t miss out on.

Love from Boston,
