Hey y’all, welcome back! I know it’s been a minute since I wrote on the blog but I wanted to create space for Black voices online. Even though I’m back to posting, I don’t plan on things looking exactly the same. I want to continue to share Black-owned businesses and start featuring them more on the blog. I’m also going to continue to post about social justice on social media. With that being said, today’s post is 6 outfits I’ve been wearing and loving lately.
Pink Swiss Dot Dress
This dress is a lightweight, light pink dress in a swiss dot fabric. It is super comfortable and because of the weight of the fabric, it’s perfect for all the hot days we’ve been having in Boston. It’s essentially a huge t-shirt, but looks dressed up, which is perfect for my online classes and working from home. I styled this dress with simple silver jewelry and sparkly sandals.
Casual Tennis Skirt
In a recent blog post, I shared three tennis skirt outfits. I’ve been wearing my tennis skirts a lot because I love the freedom of a skirt and the breathability of athleisure. It’s such a comfortable, feminine outfit perfect for the summertime. I wore this outfit with my hair in a low pony, pearl jewelry, and sneakers.
Light Blue Lilly
This Lilly skort is one of my favorite pieces from the After Party Sale last fall. Unfortunately, I only got to wear it once or twice after buying it before I had to put it away for the winter. I’m so glad I got to pull this one back out because it is so fun and summery and looks adorable with this little blue tank from Target. I paired this outfit with silver jewelry, sparkly sandals, and a matching scrunchie.
I recently picked up this dress from the LoveShackFancy for Target collection and I love it. The flowiness is perfect for sticky days like we’ve been having lately. This dress definitely looks short because of the cut, but is a perfect length for me. I wore this dress with silver jewelry and sparkly sandals.
If you know me, you know I’m not a huge fan of rompers because I think they’re mostly too short. That’s why I love Lilly’s romper dresses. They look like dresses but have the functionality of rompers. I love this one because it’s so simple and girly. I wore this romper with a matching scrunchie, gold jewelry, and sparkly sandals.
Cute and Colorful
I am definitely not afraid of color in my wardrobe and I love being able to pull out my favorite fun dresses during the summertime. I picked up this cute Lilly shift in the After Party Sale last fall and I love it because it’s the anniversary print so it tells the story of the brand. I wore this dress with silver jewelry, a pink scrunchie, and nude sandals.
I hope y’all enjoyed my summer outfit picks and that you’re staying safe wherever you are.
Love from Boston,
