Summer 2019 Update

Hey y’all, welcome back to Cleverly Caroline. Today I’m going to be updating y’all on my plans for the summer. Six weeks ago I made a post about my plans for the whole summer, and I feel it’s only fair to update you now that I’m about halfway through.

When summer began, I was not quite sure what I was going to be doing once I returned home from being abroad. While I was in London, I realized that I had not taken a serious break from school or work since starting Junior year of high school almost three years ago. In that time, I’ve either been studying or working full time. So I’m letting myself take a break.

That doesn’t mean I’ll be lazing around watching TV all day though. I am taking one online class (I couldn’t stay awake from school I’m sorry.) I am also planning on learning more code and redesigning my website. I will definitely be putting a lot of time into the blog and I am hoping to post every day in July and hopefully most of August as well. Of course, now that I’m home I’m also going to spend time with my friends from high school and enjoy my period of relaxation.

This is the first post of (hopefully) six weeks straight of posts. I want to start bringing in a little positivity to each post, and I have been super into pinning inspirational quotes on my Pinterest recently. One quote that stood out to me recently was, “visualize your highest self and start showing up as her.” I love this quote because it’s a stronger, deeper version of “dress for the job you want, not the job you have.” I also love the reflective element, it makes you think about who your highest self is. I encourage y’all to spend a bit of time today thinking about your goals and how you can act today to achieve them.
