Hey y’all, welcome back! I am so excited because this is my first Weekly Wrap Up on carolineolesky.com. I have been working so hard on creating this website and I am so happy I can finally share it with y’all.
July 28, 2019: It was a hot Sunday and my mom and I went to a nearby town to shoot for my post with Rimmel. We were dripping with sweat the entire time, but we did get some cute pictures so I think it was worth it. We also went for ice cream and a Mexican market to pick up some snacks.
July 29, 2019: This was the last day of my Palm Beach Sandals giveaway, so I had a lot of work to do. I had to check each individual entry to verify that it met the rules. As it turns out, a lot did not. That being said, I am so grateful that I had 250 entries! I was not expecting that many by any means. I learned that I shouldn’t use giveaway hashtags because it will generate a lot of entries from giveaway and spam accounts, even though those were against the rules.
July 30, 2019: I spent a majority of the day working on the new website and made some tasty ravioli that I picked up at Trader Joe’s. I have been eating a lot of their refrigerated pasta recently and it’s so tasty. My favorite so far has been the lemon zest ravioli, but they’re all good! I topped this sweet corn ravioli with basil, spinach, garlic, olive oil, salt, and a squeeze of lemon.
July 31, 2019: I spent more time on the blog and went to Target with my mom and brother. We went to the small Target near us which is essentially just a grocery and drug store, so I didn’t find any exciting clothes or accessories. I also received a package in the mail from Masqueology for me to take pictures with. I will be doing an in-depth review of the products on my blog soon. My mom also made some delicious steak and potatoes for dinner. We don’t have meat at home that often because my dad is a vegan, so it’s always exciting when my mom makes it.
August 1, 2019: The day of finishing touches on the new site. I was really hoping to launch August 1, but it didn’t happen and that’s fine. My mom and I shot my Masqueology campaign, which was way more difficult than I expected. I have never shot skincare before and didn’t realize that there is a lot to skincare that is hard to capture. We did get some good pictures though and I’m excited to share my full review with y’all!
August 2, 2019: Launch day! I officially launched carolineolesky.com. I posted about my planner for August. I also worked on my online class. My family went out for dinner at a Chinese restaurant we haven’t tried before with my little brother’s friend.
August 3, 2019: I took some flat lay pictures for my collaboration with Rimmel and posted the collab! I had leftover chicken chow mein for lunch, which was tasty. Leftover Chinese food makes for the best lunches. For dinner, I went to Chick-Fil-A with my friend Ravi. After dinner, I spent some time engaging on Instagram and reading on Pinterest about Instagram engagement. I have been doing a lot of hashtag research lately, but I haven’t noticed a big difference in engagement on my posts. It doesn’t matter that much, but it’s hard to see content that you work hard on not get a lot of engagement.
