Hey y’all, welcome back! This week was pretty crazy because I got my wisdom teeth out and I took over my friend Claire’s Instagram while she was away at camp.
This week on the blog: Weekly Wrap Up #5, Summer in the City: Dressing for San Francisco Weather, 5 Rompers for Sorority Recruitment
August 4, 2019: I took some pictures of my vegan breakfast for Claire’s Instagram. I’m not vegan, but I had to post plant-based meals for Claire’s account. I had my usual iced coffee and an everything bagel. I also used a sheet mask that I received from Masqueology which I really liked! I will be posting a full review of what I got from Masqueology sometime this week. For lunch I had leftover Chinese food, which was also plant-based and delicious.
August 5, 2019: I woke up to receive some frustrating news: some pictures I took for a campaign I am working on were not approved. This got my day started on the wrong foot. I felt like I really worked hard on these pictures so I was pretty upset to be told what I created wasn’t good enough. Nevertheless, I re-shot and re-edited and ultimately the new pictures were accepted. I went out to dinner with Mikayla in the evening. We took some outfit pictures and had dumplings in the city.
August 6, 2019: I didn’t do much on Tuesday, but I did get lunch with my co-workers from my high school internship. It was great to catch up and eat some delicious breakfast food.
August 7, 2019: The big day: surgery day! My surgery was at 11 AM, so I just stayed in bed before heading to the oral surgeon. I was super stressed out about the procedure, but it ended up being fine. It was all over in about an hour and I don’t remember any of it. After I was ready to leave the doctor’s office, my parents took me to Jamba Juice to get a smoothie. I tried the new vanilla spirulina one which was tasty, but very messy. I had a pretty hard time eating the entire day because of the local anesthetic.
August 8, 2019: I sat around and iced my face for most of the day. I still couldn’t chew, which was frustrating but expected. I posted a blog post and started working on a campaign with Warby Parker. My mom also brought Wonton and Hot and Sour soups back for me from a local Chinese restaurant.
August 9, 2019: Friday was mostly about working on my online class and getting up to date with some due dates from earlier in the week. My mom got me some tomato soup which was great and certainly what I needed. I still couldn’t really chew, but my I had some Hawaiian rolls with my soup which helped curb my hunger.
August 10, 2019: My first time leaving the house since surgery! My mom and I went to the mall to visit the new Warby Parker store. We took some outfit pictures and shopped around a bit. I picked up some super cozy sweats from Gap. I have been looking for a pair of jogger style sweats to wear around the house or when traveling, so these were a great find! Plus, they were on sale for only $10. After the mall, my mom and I headed to the grocery store to pick up more mashed potatoes and mac n cheese for me to eat. I was finally able to start chewing, so I was excited to be able to eat some pasta!
Love from Mill Valley,
